I'm a little late posting this... Last Friday we headed last minute to the Puyallup Fair with the kids and our good friends the Thomasons. It was so much fun! Being there at night reminded me of highschool. It was a perfect night! Let's just say the boys were slightly excited about going on the rides...

First Day of School!

Today was Charlie's first day of preschool! His last year before Kindergarten. This year, he is returning to Country Junction, so he was excited to see all his friends from last year. But even more exciting... this year AVA is in his class! These two have been attatched at the hip since they were born , so today was a very exciting day. They LOVE eachother. Obviously.

Avery got all excited for school today too. She kept telling me that she was going to Kindergarten.

Busy Weekend

This last weekend was fun and busy for our family! First, Friday, we headed East to Pasco for a family party for my Aunt and Uncle celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. Charlie, Avery, and Sadie got to meet their 16 second cousins! Then, later that evening, we put the kids in the car dressed in their pajamas, and headed to Crescent Bar to celebrate Krisin's birthday with the Myers'.

The weather in CB was TERRIBLE, but there was a beautiful rainbow at the end of the day. Saturday night we had an evening out. We always have such a great time with our friends!

Kaylee, Emily, Joelle, Avery, Charlie, Sadie, Micah, Josiah, and Megan (I have six cousins, and between all of them, there are seventeen kids!)

End of Summer Favorites

Summer around here has nearly come to an end... Here are some of my favorite pics of the last couple of weeks. Above you see Avery enjoying her first pony ride at the church picnic... :)

And in other news... Sadie has learned to walk! She makes tracks all over our house, and it is now her preferred method of transportation. She almost seems too little to be toddling around

Birthday Party!

On August 4th, we celebrated Sadie's first birthday. I finally got around to downloading all my pictures!

Historically, the little birthday girl (or boy) is sufficiently overwhelmed with all the commotion of the day. But we had a lovely normal day, beginning with a trip to the gym and coffee with wonderful friends (0ur favorite thing to do!) Elizabeth and Autumn treated Sadie to some special hairclips (note flower in the hair). Then home to a special BBQ and backyard birthday party. We enjoyed watching our little girl delight in her special day!


I finally got my husband to shoot some pictures with me in them... now it's documented that I DO actually exhist!

So exciting whenever you finally get a decent shot of all 5 of us... I've given up on all the kids looking at the camera at the same time. Suffice that you can just see all their faces!

Favorite all time Barefoot Contessa Coconut cupcakes, courtesy of Grammie, which Charlie insisted we frost with sprinkles.

It took her a few minutes, but Sadie did quite a number on her cupcake! We finally took it away from her for fear that she would actually eat the entire thing and get a tummy ache.
