Walla Walla

This last weekend Paul and I went to Walla Walla for the weekend to visit some friends and experience our first adventure in wine tasting. Jesse's family lives in Walla Walla, and her brother Jared has just opened his wine tasting room for his Revelry, which is his wine label. So he showed us around town, and we had a great time... even better because Grammy watched the kids for us!

Sitting out front of Revelry in front of the sprinklers... it was HOT!!!

Our spread for dinner at the Burns'... we made our own pizza's on the BBQ

Fourth of July!

It's been a long time since I've updated this! Not much to report, but we had a relaxing mellow fourth of July at home. We spent some time on the boat, bbq'd with family, and enjoyed just being together as a family!

Birthday Celebration, Crescent Bar Edition

Last weekend we headed over to Crescent Bar to continue my bday celebration with the Myers family. The Thompsons joined us too, and it made for a lively bunch! We had so much fun soaking up the sun... it was HOT... and we even got some adult time in too!

The first night we BBQ'd and ate outside. The kids had fun pretending to have a picnic on the grass outside. Paul made his signature bbq ribs which never dissappoint.
Charlie and Olivia insisted on sleeping together this time, and they actually did really well! Unlike their perspective two and a half year old sisters, who decided to give us a hard time before bed. Olivia actually fell asleep with her head on Charlie's chest! We snapped this shot of them and figured it will be useful in the future for embarrasing them when they are teenagers and have crushes on eachother :)

This would be a great picture if the wind hadn't been blowing my hair into my face!!
Saturday night we had dinner at Cave B winery in George, right next to the Gorge ampitheater. It was so beautiful!
Miss Avery sunning herself. It was 95 degrees outside and she refused to go in the pool! All she wanted to do was sit with me in the chair or scoot around the pool area on her new Dora scooter. Have to admit that she looked pretty darn cute with her new sunglasses.

30th Birthday!

I recently celebrated my 30th Birthday and was lucky enough to have strung the celebration out for a couple weeks in May! Here I am with my girlfriends from the neighborhood. We went out for dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Cactus. The food was delicious and the company was awesome!
Jesse, Dana, and I all turned 30 in May, so we went out to dinner to celebrate. I love these girls!

The actual day of my birthday, Paul and I went on a date. We haven't done that in so long, and we had the most amazing dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Sip. The best part of the night... some of our amazing friends (they wouldn't tell us who!) called and picked up the bill to our surprise!
Mom and Dad picked up a Pralines and Cream cake from Baskin Robbins... YUM

Beat the Bridge!

This year I decided that before my 30th birthday (which is next week), I would run the "Beat the Bridge" race in Seattle. It's a 5 mile race that benefits Diabetes research, and the first two miles have to be run in under 20 minutes in order to "beat" the university bridge before it goes up. As it turns out, because of a logjam of people, we actually ended up having to run it in about 16 or 17 minutes, and I thought I was going to die! But Paul and I did end up making it just in time! I was so glad to have him to run with me to push me. It was a beautiful day, and it was so much fun. My girlfriends Dana and Jesse ran as well, we sort of vowed to do this race together since we are all celebrating turning 30 this month. They did well and I was so proud of them!

Stroller stride ladies ran too!

Just Cuteness

Sadie Rose is nine months old and just figured out how to crawl! I had forgotten that this is my favorite stage... I love seeing their little bottoms scooting around the floor! And she's so much happier now that she can get to the toys she wants. Now if this little pumpkin would just sleep through the night!!!!!!

Crescent Bar

Last weekend we spent some time with the Myers family in Crescent Bar. We were seeking some sun! The weather there is typically much nicer than it is here. We did end up with one good day of sunbathing, and the kids were able to go to the pool and play in the sprinkler on the lawn.

Friday evening, as is custom every night in Crescent Bar, we took the kids to ice cream after dinner. The normal ice cream place was already closed for the night, but the owners of the swim shop let us in after hours and made the kids milkshakes. We ended up outside sitting on the stairs enjoying the sunset and a fun moment with the kids.

Charlie, Abby, Olivia, Sadie, and Avery. Charlie is getting used to being surrounded by the ladies! He doesn't seem to mind much. Abby is about six months older than Avery, and we think she might have a slight crush on Charlie.

These two are quite a pair...

We had so much fun and look forward to spending more time with our friends this spring and summer in the Eastern Washington sun!
